Join OCDSA Political Education Committee as we discuss Orange County's connection to the military industrial complex in the United States. We will be discussing excerpts from the following:

• "A People's Guide to Orange County" - Elaine Lewinnek, Thuy Vo Dang, Gustavo Arellano
• "Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism" - Vladimir Lenin

We hope to consider some of the questions:

• How has military industry shaped the unequal development of Orange County's economy, community, and politics?
• Why was GKN Aerospace allowed to operate a chemical plant in the middle of a working class neighborhood?
• How can we build organized resistance to military industrial interests and fight for an economy which uplifts rather than oppresses our fellow workers?
